Formation:
Children, Teens, Adults

Each Sunday the preacher gives a children's sermon that ties in with the Scripture readings, sermon, and songs for the day.  After the children's sermon, the children process behind a jr. cross to chapel.  In chapel, they learn the liturgy at an age appropriate level: read publicly with a children's Bible, offer prayers, and take up an offering.  They return to receive communion with their parents.
Children's Church is led by Catherine Hoemke,  Deacon Erin Cook, with other volunteers.

Education involves more than passing on information.  For personal change, transformation, to grow into the full stature of Christ, something broader is needed.  Formation is education including information, and soul training activities, in community.  And, all this happens seeking the Holy Spirit, the power of God.

Children's Chapel is held each Sunday for children age three through the fourth grade. We use the Hearts Alive curriculum .

OUR FOCUS

Welcoming Children to Worship from the Heart

We want all children to experience the wonder of God, the joyfulness of praise, and a gospel message that touches their hearts right where they are.

The focus of children’s church is to deepen a child’s personal relationship with Jesus by helping them to know him through his Word, as well as love and serve him through worship and a shared communion with one another.

Youth Group meets on the First and Third Sundays of the month from 5:00-6:30 pm.  We start with supper, prepared by the students.  February: We're meeting on the 2nd & 4th Sundays!  5th Grade and up are welcome.  Under the direction of Fr. Theron, Deacon Erin, Barbara Kleinert, Alice Willis, and Phil LaTulippe.
